I still don't think the name makes sense, and also, please don't make her name begin with Star.
But other than that, very nice try-out :3

I know you're trying to make it unique, but try to think of the forest more. If you want to keep the beginning Silver, think of something along the lines of Silverbranch or Silverstone or Silverbrooke or something.

Silverpool; MC; RiverClanA small head disappeared from view as Silverpool walked into the medicine cat's den, followed by the rest of her petite body. The young medicine paid no attention to the yowls in the clearing, and instead made her way to the back of the ferns, where the herbs were located. A careless warrior had a burr stuck in his fur, and was making an annoying - to say the least - racket. Shaking her head silently, she thought to herself, How can warriors face up to unbearable odds in battle yet be afraid of a little pain? It's not like he was going to lose his paw or anything... that was more likely to happen on the field of battle. It was easy to get the burr out of the warrior's paw, but it had sunk in deep, and needed to be protected against any infection.
Silverpool thought back to when she had first become the medicine cat apprentice. Even treating the smallest of wounds made her stomach turn, and she had been afraid, for at least a moon, that she was simply not cut out for the work. The main reason she had become a medicine cat apprentice anyway was because she couldn't stand the sight of cats fighting, nor could she ever see herself fighting to protect her Clan. It just wasn't part of her personality. She understood that other cats thought it necessary, as it did say in the warrior code to defend your territory, but it didn't mean she had to. She had convinced herself that she would never be any good as a warrior, and asked the current medicine cat, Whisperingbrook, if she would train an apprentice.
It was not a surprise when Whisperingbrook said that she would, since Silverpool had never been in trouble with her Clan. She never got into fights, and never did anything that would shame her parents. Her core personality was kind in itself. She was too nice to even scold a young kit, even if it had just sank its sharp teeth into her tail.... No, the life of a warrior - the violent, harsh life, was not for her. Besides, she enjoyed the work that being a medicine cat involved, and the privacy of the medicine cat den. Before focusing on the task at hand, she closed her deep blue eyes for a moment, and sighed, glad that she had not been made a warrior apprentice.
Whiskers twitching, Silverpool thought back to her medicine cat ceremony, and how Whisperingbrook had died soon after. It was troubling, her being a young medicine cat, that she had no one to look up to, or even ask for advice other than StarClan. While she trusted her warrior ancestors, she wished that she didn't have to go to sleep every time she had a question. And now this. The overwhelming job of a medicine cat is not as noticeable when one has a mentor, but now, she was all on her own, and anything she didn't do, didn't get done. There was no respite, no resting for her. She rested once she got everything done, or when Rainstar insisted that Silverpool needed to get some rest. She was thankful, though, that her busy schedule did not leave time for her to grieve for her mentor, or lost patients.
Padding deeper into the den, Silverpool reached the small cave where the herbs were stored. Picking out horsetail, she took a couple of the stalks in her mouth, then walked slowly back into the clearing. Thankfully, the warrior had ceased his yowling, and began to lick his paw. Putting the small bundle of herbs down, she meowed, "That's right, get it clean." If it still had any dirt in it, the horsetail wouldn't do much good. She waited patiently as the tabby tom continued to lick it clean, then began to chew the horsetail into a poultice. When she finished, she then proceeded to put it on the tom's 'wound', then said, "Try not to get that dirty for a while," nodded, and padded over to the fresh-kill pile.
Good, there's still a mouse left, Silverpool said to herself, and then proceeded to devour said mouse in quick bites. After she had had her fill, she walked back to the medicine cat den, and decided she might as well have a nap. She needed to stay in camp for a while, since there had been a recent outbreak of greencough. Silverpool had collected a lot of herbs beforehand, so she had no objection to this. Quite frankly, it was a break from the normal hustle, since most of the cats had fallen ill, and were not out fighting or otherwise getting injured. Since nothing eventful had occurred yet, and since she was confident that her Clan would tell her if something did happen, she curled up into a ball, tail over her nose, and promptly went to sleep. word count; 824 character count; 4,481 notes; changed to MC try-out 3/6/09[/size]

Ember, we're not having try-outs for MCAs, but if you want to you can make Silverpaw's bio and then have her ask the RC Med. cat if she can be her apprentice :3
Though it was a good try-out ^^

Sorry for double-posting, but I noticed that the MC of RiverClan is no longer a member of this site, so if I may, I have changed my try-out for RiverClan Medicine Cat instead.
