Name of Cat: Squirrelmist
Clan: RiverClan Gender: She-cat Age: 25 moons Rank: Warrior Short Description: A lithe, light brown tabby she-cat with dark amber eyes Personality: One thing is for sure. Squirrelmist is extremely layed-back. She never feels like she has to do something. The way she sees it, she only hunts and fights and listens to her leader because she WANTS to. That is not much of a problem, though, since she doesn't not like so many things. One good trait she has is the ability to make almost anything fun. For example, if the leader told her to give the elders fresh bedding, she would probably fetch them fresh bedding and then lay down at the front of the den for a story. Also, once she gets focused on something, it is very hard to disrupt her concentration.
She is a very happy cat. She can be happy about anything. She could skip across the camp singing just because an elder praised her. All the nice elders praise anyone, but she doesn't let that intrude into her day. She has a very carefree attitude toward everything, and doesn't let anything ruin her day. She is also very friendly, and is almost like a friend magnet because of her fun, carefree, happy attitude. The only cats she really hates are bossy cats. She hates bossy cats because, what if she doesn't WANT to do whatever they're telling her to do? The only people she ever listens to are Rainstar and Hollyfeather, because they are her leader and deputy.
If you were a bossy cat and got on her bad side, she'll shun you. It doesn't seem bad at first, but then you start to feel lonely. Usually, Squirrelmist is open to anyone who wants to be her friend. However, if you are mean to her, she can hold a grudge for quite a long time. For example, if you bossed her around as a kit, then you can be sure that she'll hold a grudge against you forever. Because of this, she has many enemies. That's because when she waas an apprentice, she would only take orders from Rainstar, Hollyfeather, and her mentor, Seedpoppy. So when other warriors told her to do something, she said something biting back and then turned her back on them. So she has a grudge on many of the RiverClan senior warriors. Appearance: It starts with a black nose, a dark black nose on the end of her muzzle. She has a little bit of a flat muzzle, but it isn't ugly. Her head is very round with a long, flexible neck that can easily turn many ways. Her front paws are long, making her tall, taller than most cats of her age. They are lean and long, good for running. In fact, just from the leanness and overall look of her body you can tell she is a very fast cat. You would have to feel her pawpads to realize that she is also very very stealthy. In hunting, she barely makes a sound. Her back is perfectly straight, and her back legs are a tiny bit more muscled than her front legs. That allows her to leap far. However, you cannot see the muscle in her legs. Her tail is long and skinny and graceful.
The tip of her muzzle is tinted white, just a light, little splotch of beige. Her face is a dark brown, mud-brown, except for one bright red line on her forehead. It is bright, carrot-orange and sticks out like anything. If anything, it is just a little bit ugly. She has very feminine 'eyebrows'. They come up from the edges of her nose and circle her eyes in a dark black ring, making it look like she has some kind of make-up on. Her throat and legs are a little bit of a lighter brown, not quite as light as the beige spot on the top of her muzzle. However, her front and back legs are a light brown with darker, mud-brown stripes criss-crossing them. Her belly is the same beige that is on her muzzle, and her back is mud-brown like her face. Her tail is the same color as her legs.
Squirrelmist's eyes are a dark, intense amber color. They always show her emotions. History: Squirrelmist was born and bred a RiverClanner, to two very senior warriors, who fit together perfectly. She was a born in a terribly regular litter of three. She was named Squirrelkit, because of the color of her pelt. She got the brown tabby from her mother, Wrenflight, and the dash of red from her father, Redpelt. She also got her eye color, amber, from Redpelt. Wrenflight had green eyes. Her brother was Mudkit. Mudkit got the brown color from Wrenflight, but he was solid brown. He got the solid part from Redpelt, who was SOLID red. He also got Wrenflight's green eyes. Her sister, Daisykit, was beige, like the color on Squirrelmist's chin. Daisykit was the spitting image of her grandmother on Redpelt's side. She was a light beige color with striking blue eyes.
In the nursery, there was also two other kits, Seakit and Leafkit. Leafkit was the self-appointed leader of the kits. Squirrelkit would have too, except that she didn't have that ambitious part of her that just HAD to be the leader. However, she was so well-liked that every time, 'Squirrelstripe' got to be the deputy of the kits. Daisykit was the outcast, because she thought herself the pretty one, and refused to mix with 'ugly little kittens' unlike herself. They all took turns being the ShadowClan warrior, and usually either Seakit or Mudkit played the intruder, mostly because Leafkit and Squirrelkit couldn't because they were the leader and the deputy.
All too soon (but that didn't bother the kits), their apprentice ceremony came. There was a shortage of warriors. Luckily, the leader noticed that she and Leafkit had become very close. She put Squirrelpaw and Leafpaw with the same mentor, Seedpoppy. Seedpoppy was young and good for them, and she made them very motivated. Squirrelmist's apprenticeship was perhaps the best time in her life. She bonded with many other cats, and even developed a tiny crush on Graypaw. However, it all ended with the greencough epidemic. Three people who were very close to her died - Graypaw, Leafpaw, and Mudpaw. However, like her regular self, she didn't let that get in the way of her training. Well, she did a little bit - on the inside, she was broken-hearted.
When sunny spring came, Squirrelpaw was able to go to her first Gathering. She was apalled to hear an accusation. ThunderClan thought that RiverClan had hunted on their land. Loyal Squirrelpaw was very angry. A ThunderClan apprentice next to her called her Clan 'a Clan-full of cats who can't take care of themselves'. Squirrelpaw had to have the truce whispered into her ear by Seedpoppy so she didn't attack the apprentice. Instead, she whispered back that ThunderClan was 'a Clan-full of cats who lied'. The other apprentice just squirmed and didn't answer.
Two nights later, ThunderClan conducted an attack on them. Squirrelpaw was terrified; she had been through battle-training, but she hadn't been in any real battle before. However, she fought with all her heart; leaping her, dodging here, coming in for a scratch there. She sent a young warrior off squealing and an apprentice she fought was in so much pain that it actually burst through the reeds and fell into the stream. A RiverClan warrior rescued it, though. Seedpoppy expressed how proud she was of Squirrelpaw's fighting afterword. Then, her mentor went to talk to the leader. When she came out, the leader jjumped onto the Highrock. Squirrelpaw became Squirrelmist - and was very thrilled about it.
Now, she is content with her position as warrior and happy. RP Example: ¨ It was sun-high and the camp was bustling with activity. Cats went out of the camp and went in. Thankfully, it was newleaf now. The fresh-kill pile was piling high and herbs were growing once again. Greencough victims were healing because of the warm air. Even flowers were springing up in some places. Furthermore, it was a beautiful, hot day, with no rains spoiling it. Everyone was happy with the thought that newleaf was almost greenleaf; greenleaf meant thunderstorms, but it also meant that the Clan would prosper and grow, like it always did.
¨ Grumpy Mousestep was sitting in his den, uncomfortable in his fluffy fur in this cramped place. He grumbled to anyone who walked past him. Why did he have to have such thick fur? His tail dragged in the dirt, dirty from dust. It was clear that the heat was making him very tired, and very often he squeezed a small moss ball near him with his mouth. The moss ball held water, and when he squeezed, a small spurt of water went into his mouth. That was the only think that was keeping him hydrated. Currently, he wanted to mix some herbs. He quickly turned back to his herbs. Ah...thyme and camomile. Here they are. Yes, calm... He was making a calming mix by mixing together thyme and camomile. He paused to wash his tail, then used his tail to mix together the herbs while he watched what was going on.
¨ After he was done with mixing them, he very carefully put the herbs into a small hole in the wall of his medicine cat's den. His den was a small cracked rock with jagged shelves and dips in the walls to store herbs. At the moment, the small cramped space was only succeeding in making him more dehydrated. He took another sip of his water and disappeared inside his den to make sure he had stores of everything. But before he could do that, he heard a voice.
¨ Mousestep?
¨ Mousestep whipped around, glaring at this newcomer. Yes? he meowed in an icy voice. He was in a horrible mood because of the heat. Other: this is a whole page of her → click!
