Snakestar Thunder boomed in the distance as Snakestar lead his last patrol into the camp. The sun was close to setting, the amazing colors reflecting onto the dark clouds. The black tom looked up to the sky as he padded through the entrance to the camp. Behind him was Ottersong, his faithful friend, Ebonysky, Mintleaf and Jaypaw. His patrol spread out after they had taken their kill to the pile. He had made them hunt because the pile had been low when they left.
Snakestar looked around the camp. Everything was still and a shiver ran down his back. He could almost feel something coming in the clouds. He looked up again to see a flash of lightning in the distance. It took a while before the thunder came rolling in. The tom narrowed his eyes at the sky then flicked his tail, not worrying about it at the moment. It was green-leaf and storms did happen. The tom padded over to Ottersong and touched her shoulder with his tail.
"I have a bad feeling about this storm." She said to him, her teal eyes looking worried. Snakestar sighed and then sat down beside his friend. "Starclan will protect us. Nothing to be worried about my friend." His voice was calm and sure. Ottersong nodded then touched her tail to his shoulder. "I'm going to the den now. See you in the morning Snakestar." He watched her as she stood and padded over to the warrior's den. The leader sighed and then turned his gaze back to the large, black clouds. The sun was still falling, leaving him and his clan in the dark, with a great storm coming. "Starclan," he whispered into the night. "Protect us." Ottersong With her jaws full of prey, Ottersong followed her leader back to the camp. They had a good patrol, and hunting went well also. She felt light hearted and happy that she was apart of Shadowclan. The she-cat jumped when thunder rumbled through the sky and Ottersong felt as if she was going to get sick. She quickly placed her prey on the pile before hurrying over to the medicine cat's den. She was treated quickly before she sat outside the den, trying to calm herself down.
She looked at the beautiful sky. It was purple, orange, red and light blue in different places, but it was also black. Large storm clouds were rolling in, with flashes of lightning. The warrior felt her stomach squeeze again and she almost ran back into the medicine cat's den to get something else, but then she saw Snakestar coming toward her. She put a smile on her maw, but the leader did not see it. She felt his tail on her shoulder and she spoke. "I have a bad feeling about this storm." Her words were true, but she didn't tell him how her body was feeling because of it.
"Starclan will protect us. Nothing to be worried about my friend." The leader told her, his voice seemed to be calm and sure. She looked over to him and sighed. "I'm going to the den now. See you in the morning Snakestar." She told him, then placed her tail on his shoulder before she stood up and padded to the den. On the way there she looked up to the dark clouds, seeing lightning flash between the black. A shiver ran down her spine and she closed her teal eyes before slipping into the den, feeling a lot better once she got into her nest. Jaypaw 'She should've come back with me.' The tom thought as he padded behind Ottersong. He had been thinking about his sister the whole patrol, not really keeping his focus on what was going on. Mintleaf had attacked him once, pinning him to the ground and growling at him, trying to get his mind out of the clouds. He had gotten his mind off his sister for a while, but now that they were heading back to the camp his mind had gone right back to the same thing, even with his jaws full of prey.
He jumped when he heard the thunder boom around him. He looked to the sky, his light green eyes seeing the different colors, plus the black clouds. He frowned and wondered why he hadn't noticed it before. He flicked his tail as they came into the camp. The clearing was almost empty of cats. He figured that Paleskin was still out with her patrol. The tom padded over to the fresh-kill pile and placed his prey there, along with Ottersong.
The appritence took a small meal for himself before he padded over to his den. He sat down outside of it and took a few bites from his mouse. He sighed once, looking up to the dark clouds, but his focus was turned away from them when he saw Ottersong blot for the medicine cat's den. The tom frowned, took a bite of his prey, then looked back to the clouds. There was almost an eerie look to the clouds, like they were coming to destroy. The tom shook his head, ate the last bit of his mouse then went to bed, forgetting about the dark clouds, and Ottersong's rush.

E B O N Y S K Y Ebonysky followed the patrol back to ShadowClan camp, a mouse and a toad swinging from her mouth. She saw Snakestar look up and followed his gaze. The sun was just setting, and the sky was a mix of different hues. There were reds, purples, and pinks painting the sky beautifully, and for a moment she was caught up in the sight. But then she noticed the dark clouds that were rapidly closing in, and a frown overtook her mouth. Those clouds didn't look very good.
Seconds later, a flash of lightening lit up the sky, and a rumble of thunder followed a few minutes later. Ebonysky, unprepared for the sudden loud noise, leapt forwards at the sudden burst of sound. Seeing that she had fell behind the patrol, she raced to catch up. She pressed close to her Clan members, glancing anxiously at the sky every few seconds.
They reached the camp, and she dropped off her prey on the fresh-kill pile. She couldn't help but overhear Ottersong and Snakestar's exchange, and she found herself agreeing with Ottersong. The storm was really unnerving her; it wasn't going to end well. She watched as the she-cat went and got something from the medicine cat's den. Then she followed her into the Warrior's Den.
" I agree with you. There's just something about this storm in particular... I can't quite put my paw on it. But it's really bugging me. It doesn't feel right. " She meowed to her, her voice sounding worried.

Tundraheart
the golden stripped she-cat dropped her two pieces of prey in the pile and took one for her own. it was a mouse that she choosed. she ate it slowly and watched the sun go down. she watched as the patrol led by snakestar come back with more prey in their jaws. she spotted ebonysky, ottersong, and jaypaw with him. she snorted at the apprentice, when is she going to recieve her own apprentice again, of course her apprentice got killed before he became a warrior but that isn't her fault he was just too weak. much like that one that took a piece of prey and ate and went to bed without a word. her eyes narrowed, what's in your head? she thought, seeing anger all over the tom. he had been acting like that for several days now, and mostly she wanted to know why.
then she heard thundering and looked up to see the dark clouds coming in. her amber eyes narrowed, with a storm like that it could be bad. she decided to just go to bed and not worry. in her nest she curled her tail around her and put it on her nose as she closed her eyes.
TARA . SKYKIT
outside of her housfolk den she watched at the marsh in shadowclan territory. she thought about the last time she saw her brother, jaypaw, which had been several days ago. she remembered his voice when he called out to her, she felt so bad over what she said. like ok he may ba of wanted to bring her back to camp to be thought of a hero but he was looking for her for some other motive than that. her housefolk went out and shook something then called her name that they gave her, tara. she sighed, got to her paws and ready to jump down till she heard a loud thunder. tara's heart twisted as she looked how big it was and it was heading into the forest, to shadowclan. "they'll be alright" she told herself outloud and turned down to come to her housefolk. hearing them speak in their tongues, she felt they're worry, the female's voice was scared and so was the male but he sounded more assuring than his mate. even the twolegs are scared she realized, and they have more cover than any other aimal.
tara turned back to the sky, of course she would be safe she would be in the nest. but what about the clans, they don't have the same cover as she does. finally she made her choice she turned away from the twolegs and ran up on the fence. she ran toward the thunderpath and the rest of the way she could hear her former housefolk call her name. she slowed down, the thunderpath at view, she refused to look back, scared, that if she does that she wouldn't be able to go forward. "i'm sorry," she spoke aloud "you saved my life and gave me a home. but i hope you will understand that i have to do this, for my clan, for my brother." she ran across when all was safe and at the other side she could smell the same scent that was on jaypaw, she knew she was on shadowclan territory. "i'm coming." she whispered and started to walk forward with the dark clouds now above her and the lightning flaring randomly.

Mintleaf The small black she-cat sighed as she padded gracefully into camp. Her front white paws were matted with mud. Mumbling something under her breath as she stalked over to the fresh kill pile. Picking a newt for herself she padded over to the outside of the warriors den. She sat down and took a bite of her meal then looked up at the moon. It was shining brightly then a dark cloud moved over it, hiding it completely. The cleaqring became dark and she hesitated as her eyes re-focused.
She finished her meal quickly and began licking her pelt clean. Almost all over her long black fur was covered in mud. Wishing silently that it wouldn't have rained last night and now it was going to rain again by the looks of things. Sighing she stood up and padded into the warriors den. She nodded once to Ottersong and smiled slightly. Ottersong was Mintleaf's... friend. I guess that's what you'd call it. She thought.
Settling down in her nest Mintleaf smiled as a large gust of wind came into the warriors den. The warm air smelling of trees and grass and prey. She layed her head on her -now clean- white paws and let her lids droop. She opened them again, slightly startled when a loud clap of thunder rolled over head. She muttered something about Starclan being angry and then closed her eyes again. Placing her paw over her ear. She didn't dream tonight. Probably because of the storm but she wanted to now. She wanted to see her brother and sister again.

Snakestar The leader sat alone in the clearing. His clan had all gone into their dens for the night. He sighed and stood up. He had heard Ottersong's worry, but he needed her to be strong. He needed to be strong himself. If something was coming he needed to be prepared for it. Snakestar looked to the sky, to where the stars shone brightly. "StarClan, if something is coming, please tell me." When nothing answered him the leader padded over to his den. He looked around the camp once more, sighed, then slipped inside to sleep.
- - - -
It was not yet dawn when thunder boomed across the sky. The black tom had already been up for hours, watching the storm come across the sky. It had finally reached the forest where the Clans were. The ShadowClan leader's yellow eyes held a hint of red in them as he watched the rain fall down into his camp, making the ground muddy. The water had started falling from the sky not too long ago, but it had been raining long, and hard, enough for it to form puddles.
Lightning flashed again in the sky, lighting up the clearing. Snakestar saw that it was empty still and he wanted someone to wake up. He knew that the sun should be rising soon, but it was still dark. More than half the darkness was caused from the black clouds over head, but light was still just a little while off.
The tom licked a large forepaw before wipping it over his ear. He knew he was going to be muddy shortly, but cleaning calmed himself. He was getting more worried with each minute of the rain. The wind was getting worse and the lightning faster. He was grateful for the rain, for it had been some-what dry, but he wasn't thankful for the mess the storm was causing.
Hot, white, heat came down from the sky, hitting a tree, making the loudest noise in the world. Snakestar jumped from the sound of the lightning hitting the tree and from the tree snapping in half. The tom turned his head to see one of the large trees begin to fall, flames in the leaves. Panic washed over him as the tree landed on the warrior's den, setting the top of it a blaze. Jaypaw The sound of Snakestar's yowling awoke Jaypaw from a deep sleep. He groaned, rolled over on his side then jumped up when the yowl formed into a word. "Fire!" The gray tom bolted from his den and looked across the clearing to see the warrior den's roof on fire. His heart stopped in the moment, making everything else on his body stop. His brain couldn't take in what was happening, even though at the same time it was screaming for him to do something. He saw a black form race past him and he knew it was Snakestar. That got him into gear.
His paws quickly carried him over to the warrior's den. "Mintleaf! Ottersong!" The two names fell out of the young tom's maw first, but the sound of the storm made them sound like nothing. He growled, angry that he wasn't being heard, but his anger went away when the flames became larger, not touched by the huge rain drops. Jaypaw saw the leader push his way into the den, his shoulders barely fitting inside. The tom stood there, not knowing what to do to help his clan.

E B O N Y S K Y She was awoken not by Snakestar's warning call, but by the flaming tree, crashing on top of the Warrior's Den. Yowling in alarm, she skidded sideways, trying to avoid it's burning branches. She bounded over to Ottersong and Mintleaf and tried to shake them awake, yowling over and over :
"The den is on fire! Wake up! The den is on fire!"
Her panicked eyes stared at her Clanmates, willing them to wake up in time to save themselves. But she couldn't wait for them any longer. She found an escape route from the den and dashed out into the clearing.
The rain had subsided by now, which was anything but a relief. The fire would continue to burn without the rain to extinguish it. The flames were now spreading to the other dens, and Ebonysky feared for the other ShadowClan cats. She tried to find Snakestar; they needed to do something!
"Snakestar! What do we do?!" She cried.
F I N C H W I N G Padding along the border between ShadowClan and ThunderClan, two mice dangling from her mouth, was Finchwing. She was feeling rather content, and in high spirits. That was, until she heard the panicked cries coming from ShadowClan's territory. She stopped and turned to look towards their land, and was surprised when she saw billows of smoke rising in the air above the area where she knew their camp was.
Her eyes widened, and she immediately turned on her tail and raced back to ThunderClan's camp. She dropped her mice in the middle of the clearing, and dashed to Littlestar's den.
"Littlestar! I think ShadowClan may need our help! I was walking by the border, and I saw smoke rising above their camp, and I could hear a lot of yowling. Should we do something?" She meowed quickly, all in one breath.

cloudpaw shadowclan loser apprentice Cloudpaw had been out hunting during the storm. Ignorant as he was, he'd completely spaced out the rain that slowly fell, unaware of the chaos going on at camp until he bluntly darted in with the frog and vole he was holding in his jaws. When he got inside the camp, he might as well have not-- he yowled instantly and clumsily jumped about, falling over and catching his tail on fire.
"Ahh! Help!" Cloudpaw cried out in alarm, leaping and launging, rolling like an idiot to try and douse the fire. When he finally did, he started licking his burnt tail-- then looked around him. "Why aren't you guys doing anything? We have to get out of here, go to RiverClan or something!" Another flash of lightning ripped own. It snapped onto a tree right next to him and it tumbled down, down, down . . . Cloudpaw darted out of the way just in time. Without looking back at the camp except to see if his mentor was in there-- just because he acted like he hated her didn't mean that he wanted her to die.
Ebonysky was actually a pretty nice cat and all. He had never appreciated her before now, but on the verge of death, he thought back. She'd wanted him to take the prey he'd caught once back to camp, though he didn't want to, and she'd let him sleep when he truly needed it. Even though she'd almost drowned him before, she hadn't meant to hurt him too badly, right?

LITTLESTAR
after a good day today of hunting and patrolling the borders, and hearing the good news from his deputy and senior warriors. he lied down and groomed his tortoiseshell fur before he closed his eyes. but he was surprised to not dream of something good, though he knew that something would have gone wrong sooner or later after that horrible gathering. in his dream he was in the forest, though it wasn't his territory, the ground felt mucky, the trees different to the oak trees that had always surrounded him when he gone into the forest.
he stood up straight and took in deep cold wet air that holds great scent of shadowclan. then he remembered he was in shadowclan territory. he walked further, wondering why he was here. one step after another his surroundings became darker and hotter. then smoke covered everything. littlestar coughed and looked around him, pausing. "son" a familiar voice hit his ears over the faint roaring of fire. his fur rose in horror as he gazed at the great form, the golden fur and white fur and the blue eyes. thornstar stared at him, though not in the look he always had, the bold powerful look that littlestar bared. instead there was a look of worry and fear, littlestar's heart beated hard and fast.
"thornstar what's wrong," he growled "what does starclan want to show me."
thornstar closed his eyes, like he couldn't bare to say. "the clans are endanger, my son." he spoke at last. when littlestar opened his mouth his father already started to fade, "wait, he yowled, what do you mean, what's going to happen."
then he woke, not to the end of the dream but to a yowling sound. blinking away his fear and licking his fur back down he stepped outside and found finchwing, her eyes were wide in fear. he asked what was wrong then she told him. at once he got back up, his fur rose in the horror, there is a fire in shadowclan camp, he could not help but think that ravenleaf was in terrible danger. he had only found his mother only a few moons ago, he cannot lose her now.
"yes finchwing" he agreed, the power that had always followed his voice since he became leader was stronger now. "i want you to wake everyone, take a patrol with you and head to shadowclan camp." he added before he turned to the gorse tunnel, "and if the fire reaches into thunderclan territory, i want every thunderclan cat out of here in riverclan before it even touches the camp." then he turned and ran through the gorse tunnel, without another word. he ran full speed to shadowclan territory. he knew that he had to help them, he had to save ravenleaf.
---
tundraheart woke slowly when she heard something huge outside. then she felt something, like something huge falling. totally awake then she looked around and heard a yowl before the tree slammed into the den. tundraheart's amber eyes opened wide in shock. she looked to the other warriors and found them totally awake. one cat, a tom stared at her in horror, she was about to hiss at him till she found that she couldn't move. when she tried she felt great pain on her sighed, she turned her head painfully and stared in great horror. the tree's sharp and long branch was on her side, very deep. there was blood pouring down her sighed.
her vision became dark and she started to pant for air that suddenly became too hard to catch. her body became numb, she couldn't even feel her head fall on her nest. she closed her eyes and the last breath faded away from her as she went limp.
---
tara stared in horror as she scented smoke. she was right something terrrible was going to happen this night. at first she wanted to go back to the twolegs and be in the nest where she would be safe. but she knew that she couldn't, if she did she would regret it for the rest of her life, she just have to help her clan no matter what. then she paused, she scented something, something she had scented before back near the twolegplace. then she found a small tortoiseshell tom heading the same place she was heading.
she walked near the tom and recognize the scent better, this cat was from thunderclan. but why was he coming into shadowclan territory, was he going to help. then she felt angry till she remembered that the fire wasn't only shadowclan's concern but of all the cats in the forest.
close behind she followed the tom till she found the deep fog of smoke. over the roaring she could hear cats yowling everywhere. she lost sight of the tom but she didn't care. she looked for her brother, "jaypaw, jaypaw" she called as loud as she could.

Snakestar As the tree came crashing down onto the den a couple of the warriors woke and bolted. Snakestar could see a few outlines of his warriors so he pushed his way into the den, feeling the heat from the flames even more now that he was inside the den. The tom could hear cries for him coming from outside the den, but he couldn't get to them yet. There were still two bodies in here, two of his warriors. As he got closer to them he could tell which warriors they were. "Tundraheart! Ottersong! Wake up!" His yowl was loud enough to wake Ottersong from her sleep. She looked at him with her teal eyes wide, then she ran from the den, her fur scraping along his.
Snakestar pushed his way through the leaves that were now in the den from the fallen tree that was on fire. As he made his way toward Tundraheart he could smell the strong stench of blood and fear made way into his brain. "Tundraheart!" He called again, but she didn't move. He yowled loudly and pushed a branch to the side, seeing half of it in the she-cat's side. That made his body freeze. He didn't know what to do to help her, it looked as if she was already gone. The loud sound of thunder awoke Snakestar from his daze and he blinked a few times before he tried to pull the branch from Tundraheart, but it would move.
"Snakestar! You have to get out of there!" Ottersong's voice carried into the den and the tom growled. His mind was set on getting his warrior out, but he wasn't sure if he was going to be able to. "Snakestar!" The she-cat's yowl held worry and the leader knew he should get out there and help his clan. "StarClan, take her." He whispered before he turned and bolted out of the den. When he came out of the den he crashed into Ottersong, coughing, trying to get fresh air into his lungs. He turned as he sucked in a lung-full of air to see smoke pouring out of the den. 'It didn't seem smoky inside.' The leader thought to himself before he turned to his clan.
"Go to RiverClan! Help anyone that needs it. Go now!" He called to everyone that was standing there, then he turned to look around to see who needed help. When he looked at Ottersong he saw blood pouring down her side, with a branch sticking out of it. "Ottersong..." He whispered, not knowing what to think. He watched her look at her wound, then he saw her weave once before almost falling over. He caught her and helped her out of the camp, looking for anyone else that needed help. Ottersong "Ottersong! Wake up!" The loud call awoke Ottersong from her sleep. She had been dreaming about the bad storm that had made her sick. When she opened her eyes and looked around she saw that smoke and leaves filled the den. 'Leaves?!' She thought to herself before she saw Snakestar's form come out from behind a mass of giant leaves. Panic swept over her and she bolted from the den, feeling herself rub against Snakestar on her way out. First it was the soft feeling of his pelt, then a really sharp pain. She yowled as she came from the den, from the pain, then the feeling was gone. She turned and looked to see that the leader hadn't followed her out. "Snakestar! You have to get out of there!" She called to him, worry straining in her voice. She looked around the clearing, her teal eyes wide with fear. She didn't know what was going on too well, and her head was still fuzzy with sleep... or was it sleep?
"Snakestar!" She yowled again, this time turning the head of a young tom, Jaypaw, but she ignored him. A loud sigh escaped her maw when Ottersong saw her leader come out of the den, coughing, but breathing. She came up to him and placed her tail on his shoulder as he called out orders to the rest of the clan. Then she saw him turn and look at her side, the side that had shot pain. "Ottersong..." She heard his voice, then looked at her side. There was a bloody branch sticking out of her side and she almost fell then and there, but the leader's large form helped her stand. She felt him moving and she moved her paws along with him, but her vision was going black. 'Stay with him, Ottersong.' She told herself as she forced her teal eyes open and one paw in front of the other. Jaypaw There was too much noise in the camp and the small blue tom was getting confused. There were too many cats calling to one another. Jaypaw growled and jumped when Ottersong called the leader's name, but he didn't think that she saw him jump. He shook his head then heard Snakestar's order and he bolted for the exit. As he ran he passed a few cats, and almost ran into another one. "Let's go!" He called to the cat, but then he stopped. This cat wasn't a ShadowClan cat. He blinked, his green eyes looking at the black she-cat. "Skykit?!" He yowled, before he saw Snakestar coming with Ottersong at his side. Jaypaw looked at his sister, his heart thumping with joy, panic and fear. "Follow me. We have to go to RiverClan." He told his sister over the noise of the flames, rain and thunder. His eyes stung from the smoke, but he couldn't blink because if he did then his sister would be gone. He touched his tail to her shoulder before following his leader into the marshy area toward RiverClan.

Braveheart woke up to hear Littlestar growling something. The flame-coloured she-cat raced out of the warriors den, shaking scraps of moss from her fur, just in time to hear her mate growling something about ShadowClan and fire. She also heard him saying something to Finchwing about taking a patrol to ShadowClan. Grabbing a magpie form the fresh-kill pile, she devoured it in famished gulps as she listened to the end of Littlestar's conversation with Finchwing. She caught snatches of what they were saying...... Wake,ShadowClan, Fire, Patrol, RiverClan, Camp, Territory...........
No, I can't wait for the patrol. They'll take moons. I have to be with Littlestar, and make sure he's alright, she thought, watching her leader dissappear into the gorse tunnel. I can't let him go alone, she thought worriedly. He's bound to lose a life, maybe more. I have to go and catch up with him before something awful happens. She pelted through the gorse tunnel after him, regardless of the thorns that snagged at her fur as she ran. "Littlestar!" she called as she ran into the forest, following his scent trail. "Littlestar!"

E B O N Y S K Y Ebonysky nodded once to Snakestar, acknowledging that she had heard his command to get to RiverClan. Before she turned to leave, however, she glanced around to see how the rest of her Clanmates were coping, to see if any of them needed her help.
She caught a fleeting glance of Jaypaw as he fled the camp. Ottersong was injured badly, and she wished more so now than she ever had that ShadowClan had a medicine cat. She considered going over to help her get out of the camp, but then she saw Snakestar rush over to support her.
She watched as Cloudpaw panicked when his tail caught on fire, and she found that she had to stifle a laugh. She couldn't believe that she was at the brink of laughter at a time like this. Trust Cloudpaw to be the comedy relief in a tough situation. A moment later he fled the camp as well, glancing back once in her direction, it seemed. She was surprised but gave him a nod of encouragement, telling him to keep running.
Okay, that was just about everyone. But there was someone she was forgetting...
Tundraheart!
She glanced back at the Warriors Den, which now lay in scorched ruins. There was no way Tundraheart had survived in there. Therefore, she was either lying dead in the Den, or she had managed to get away. But there was no time for her to check; the fire was covering more ground, and in minutes the camp would be up in flames.
With one last look at the camp, she turned and ran into the surrounding forest, heading towards RiverClan. She caught up to Cloudpaw.
"Hey, you alright?" She breathed quickly, still running hard.
F I N C H W I N G Finchwing watched Littlestar's retreating back in surprise. He had ordered her to organize the patrols. Her.But then again, she had been the only one near Littlestar when he gave the order. To Finchwing, this was a big responsibility, one she was not often given. Shy, innocent, quiet Finchwing wasn't exactly good at ordering others around.
'Okay, so who should I bring? Uhm... maybe everyone should come?' She thought to herself. Then, frustrated that she didn't know what to do, she gritted her teeth.
Tigerfrost! He'd know what to do. He was deputy, after all.
She raced over to the Warriors Den and poked her head inside.
"T-Tigerfrost?" She called softly. Then, rethinking the situation, she tried again.
"Tigerfrost!" She called, much louder this time. At the sound of her own voice, she seemed to gain confidence. "Actually, everyone! Wake up! There's a fire in ShadowClan, and Littlestar's ordered me to take a patrol to see if they need help. Tigerfrost, you should come. And Fawngaze and Oceanspray. Braveheart has already gone with Littlestar."
The rest of you must stay here, unless the fire reaches our camp. Then you all must cross the river and go to RiverClan. And make sure everyone gets out safely." She ordered. Suddenly, she was taken aback by herself. She had just, and rather loudly, asserted herself and given an order to the camp. She blinked in shock, and then a grin overtook her. She turned around, tail up, and bounded out of the den.

cloudpaw shadowclan loser apprentice He nodded, although his tail was hurting badly enough to make him want to stop where he was, turn around, and lick it over and over. His paws led him automatically to RiverClan; leaping into the river without a second thought, he felt the water cool him. After a few moments, knowing he was safe even though the water was trying to tug him downstream but his claws had a steady grip, the tom turned with a sigh of relief. His tail didn't hurt that much anymore and most of his Clanmates were safe.
As hateful as he was, he glanced around a few times. It looked like everyone was there or following. Then he remembered: Tundraheart! That thought alone made him leap out of the water and start racing back to camp. Then he stopped, staring at the flames. If she wasn't there already . . . she wasn't coming back at all. Cloudpaw hung his head, waiting with his dripping fur for a few moments. When he looked back up, everything was dark. Smoke was clouded around him and he coughed, a stabbing in his chest. He heard a huge snap . . . then he fell under the weight of a tree, crushing one of his hind legs. Inhaling and having to let out a cough instead, he closed his eyes and was glad that he wasn't about to die.
ebonypaw thunderclan worried apprentice Ebonypaw ignored Littlestar, she ignored everyone. All that mattered at that moment was getting to ShadowClan. Fear pelted through her and she sprinted in their direction, trembling. Trees were quaking around her, several were falling from being too badly weakened. The flames were upon her, singing her pelt, but still the apprentice moved on. Yowling as a cat nearly bowled into her but surprised her enough to make her trip, Ebonypaw found herself surrounded by fire.
Alarm filled her body. It seemed like a million trees were crashing down around her. She heard the frantic scrabbling and caught the silver pelt of another apprentice; suddenly he was swallowed up by tree and flame. Ebony shot to her paws, having fallen over from her fear, and was at his side in a moment. She recognized him as Cloudpaw. He was coughing, struggling and then he went limp but she could still hear his raspy breathing and struggling to cough. Ebony shoved her entire body against the tree. Ashes fell and it was then that she noticed them floating around. The black bark had crumbled and she dragged Cloudpaw out from beneath. He was still limp and heavy in her jaws. Was he . . . wet? Without questioning anything she dragged the singed tom back to the river, but had to stop. "Help! Cloudpaw needs help!" I need help.
hollyfeather riverclan troubled deputy Hollyfeather was about to strike her paw through the river when the scent of smoke hit her nose. Looking up, she yowled in alarm, calling Rainstar's name. ShadowClan had a fire! If it spread to RiverClan or WindClan or ThunderClan . . . they'd all be doomed. She froze and glanced to her left. ThunderClan! She was about to start racing there, to find Tigerfrost-- but why? What, was she in love with him?
Holly gasped when she hesitated to answer it. Scolding herself mentally, she jumped across the river and splashed into it just over halfway to ShadowClan's side. Her paws didn't stop moving, even when she was on the other side. She had to help these cats swim across before it was too late.

FIREPAW
unable to sleep, she walked through the moorland away from camp for some night time hunting though she knew she would be tired in the morning. but firepaw was thinking too hard to sleep and her belly clenched at the thought of who was going to be her mentor now that hailstorm is gone. not just that but nightstar is gone as well, a deputy and leader, gone just like that.
but what firepaw is wondering how on earth did nightstar lose all her lives so quickly, she hadn't even been leader in a moon. suddenly she stopped, felt the huge gust of the storm. but that wasn't what made her horror struck, looking to the other side of the thunderpath was a orange glow and smoke. she didn't have to ask anyone what that meant. firepaw turned and ran back to camp determind to warn everyone. there was a split chance that the fire could come here and that would be a danger for her entire clan. she came out and yowled as loud as she could, "everyone there is a fire in shadowclan" she kept saying until cats started popping out. her entire body and mind was telling her to go to riverclan but she wouldn't dare abandon her clan. plus windstar, the knew leader has to give the order.
---
littlestar popped into the camp and breathed in fumes of smoke. he could hear many cats yowling above the roaring fire. but there was too much smoke for him to see. "ravenleaf" he called and then found snakestar, he came up to the cat "snakestar is there anyone left?" his heart knawed he hoped ravenleaf was ok. then he spotted her, he smiled, seeing the old she-cat walking slowly out of camp. then she stumbled, littlestarran forward at once and helped her up. "ravenleaf" his voice was worried, his eyes wide in fear. she looked up "littlestar" she gasped, "is that you?"
he smiled, and was about to answer when a gray cat leaped on the other side of ravenleaf. "mother, are you ok" at once he reckonized that large form and that voice, it was graytalon, his brother. then the shadowclan warrior turned and narrowed his eyes at him "what are you doing here?"
anger boiled in his stomach and was about to say "that's the sort of greeting to give to your brother", then he remembered that graytalon did not know. "i'm here to help shadowclan." the gray tom was about to argue about that with his mouth open, but littlestar did not give him the chance. "look, like it or not you need my help, and this problem isn't just shadowclan's but for any cat that lives in this forest."
littlestar turned and tried to help his mother with graytalon's help. when he thought she was safe, out of the camp, he turned and found a queen with kits. at once he came to her, she looked startled to see him there but thankfully she let him help her with her three kits. she picked one up and he picked the other but the third one lied there whinning. at the corner of his eye he spotted a familiar form pop up. joy and fear pounced on him, he forced them down as he called to braveheart. "braveheart, i need you." seeing her come to him he said "we need to get these kits out." he picked up the kit again and ran out of camp, looking back to make sure she was following him.
---
tara was glad her brother was ok, she walked by his side and ran passed snakestar. her fur prickled when he saw her, but she pushed it back and just left. she couldn't just help but wonder what the leader was thinking, like she knew she was of shadowclan but everyone must think her dead and plus she's wearing a color. tara forced her thoughts back as she followed jaypaw out of shadowclan territory, through the whole route she watched out for any cat that might need her help.
when she and jaypaw were at the river she stopped and found two small cats, one looked hurt and the other, a she-cat seemed to be helping him. tara did not know these cats but she knew by their scent that the she-cat was of thunderclan and the other was of her own clan. "i'm here, she called and leaped past jaypaw to join the other cat. she could see by the she-cat's expression that she was surprised to see a kittypet right there. but tara ignored that and started helping her pull her clanmate through the river. though it was hard and the river was strong, but she did not dare give up.

Braveheart nodded wordlessly and snatched up a kit. "I can walk! Don't need help!" it protested as it writhed in her grip. Ignoring it, she pelted after Littlestar, grunting as she jumped over a fallen pine, the kit's scruff still firmly in her mouth. Finally, when they were only ten fox-lengths from the river, the fire roared around them, and Braveheart found that she and the kits were trapped. They were passing through a small clearing, and found themselves unable to go any further. Dashing for a gap just large enough for her, Braveheart pulled back sharply as a pine trunk crashed down in front of her, blocking their only escape route.
The flame-coloured she cat looked around wildly, and her keen eyes spotted a bramble bush that had not yet caught flame. It was a bit like the gorse tunnel in camp, but much lower. Setting the kit on the ground, she nudged it gently forward. It pelted through the tunnel and over to Little star. Braveheart sighed with relief, but stopped abruptly as she felt the heat at her back. There was no way out now; she was trapped! Her emerald eyes gazed pleadingly at Littlestar, her mate, her leader. "Littlestar!" she tried to yowl, but little more than a mew came out. Then she feel into unconsciousness, the flames coming closer every minute. Windstar The new WindClan leader raced out of hid den at the sound of Firepaw's voice. "A fire? In ShadowClan?" he mewed worridly. "We'll need to have a Clan meeting." He raised his voice to a yowl: "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey join her beneath the Tallrock for a Clan meeting!" Then he jumped gracefully onto the Tallrock, and waited for his Clan to emerge.
